ETI0001-1245 Rugged Mil Spec DC UPS Standard Front Panel Layout
ETI0001-1245 Rugged Mil Spec DC UPS Standard Rear Panel Layout
The field proven Rugged Systems™ UPS line is ideally suited for military, industrial and telecommunications applications requiring a rugged rack, vehicular or field deployable, high reliability, compact size and light weight design. The “1245” is being used guidance systems in harsh environments because of the stringent performance and reliability requirements. The heavy-duty chassis, occupying only 7.0” (4U) by 14.0” depth, has rounded metal corners and rugged handles front and rear, aiding in safe handling. Internally, all major components are well secured and electrically insulated to prevent damage due to shock and vibration. The internal EMI/RFI filters minimize input current harmonics. To provide added flexibility and reliability, the “1245” accepts two independent hot swappable Battery Modules. This system is designed to provide full output for 6 hours following an AC power outage even when the external temperature is below freezing. The LED arrays keep the operator informed as to the unit's status including load and battery levels. All controls and protective devices are brought to the front panel. Further, all front panel devices are guarded to prevent damage or accidental operation. The input switch and the isolation provide double pole isolation for shipboard systems.
The rear panel provides locking connectors for the input and output power. Removable and washable air filters and a high capacity ball bearing fan provide added protection in both controlled and hostile environments. The status connector provides an interface with optional computer software providing loss of AC and low battery status as well as remote shut down capability.
Overall, the Rugged Power line is uniquely qualified for critical shipboard, vehicle, airborne or land based systems combining advanced modular design features with highly reliable construction.
